Education
Bus for Education and Aboriginal Resources
The Bus for Education and Aboriginal Resources (BEAR Bus) is a mobile early-years outreach program that will offer services to families in Abbotsford (and surrounding areas) to children from birth to age 6. A staff report was presented to the Board of Education for information by Superintendent Ngieng.
Operations
2026-2027 Preliminary Budget Progress Report
A verbal update was provided by Secretary-Treasurer, Monica Schulte.
Abbotsford Arts Centre - Rental Fees
The Board of Education approved the proposed increase in rental fees for the Abbotsford Arts Centre as presented.
Student Transportation Fees
The Board of Education approved the proposed school transportation fees as presented.
Property Disposition Bylaw 91: Abbotsford Middle - Statutory Right of Way (City of Abbotsford)
The Board of Education approved having all three readings of Property Disposition Bylaw No. 91 in this one meeting and approved to give the City of Abbotsford the statutory right of way for the purpose of servicing the Water Main on the property located at 2222 Ware St, Abbotsford, BC, V2S 3C5.
Capital Bylaw No. 2026/27-CPSD34-01
The Board of Education approve having all three readings of the Capital Plan Bylaw No. 2026/27-CPSD34-01 in this one meeting. They approved for the following minor capital projects including HVAC upgrades.
